JUNIOR GOLF AT ROWANY
General
Rowany Golf Club Limited is committed to developing Junior Golfers, with the aim of providing a stimulating environment which will support the recruitment of young people into the Club, and thereafter help to retain them. The Junior Section has been set up as the vehicle to achieve these aims.
Membership Categories for Juniors
There are three categories of Junior Members:
7 years of age and below
Juniors in this category may only use the practise area and the pitch and putt course. They must be supervised at all times by an adult. Each junior must have some clubs and a putter but may share.
8 to 17 years of age with a playing handicap between 29 (37 for girls) and 54
Juniors in this category may play on the course, for general play, at times designated by the Competition & Handicap Committee (C&HC), but must first have satisfied the C&HC that they have sufficient knowledge of the Rules of Golf, etiquette, and safety aspects. They must be accompanied by a competent adult at all times and play in groups of no more than 3 – i.e. 1 adult and 2 juniors or 2 adults and 1 junior. The adults do not need to play. Each player must have his or her own golf clubs and bag.

Juniors in this category may use the course, for general play, at times designated by the C&HC, and may play the course without adult supervision provided that they play with other juniors in the same category and in groups of no more than 3. They may play in groups of 4 provided that at least 1of the group is an adult. Each player must have his or her own golf clubs and bag.
