Competition Entry Process
For visitors to enter competitions, they need to provide information to allow the Club to verify their handicaps. This can be done by providing one of the following:
- Name and Home Club
- Name and CDH Number
- Home Club and CDH Number
- Valid Handicap Certificate
The preference is that such information is provided in advance to allow the Club to verify the visitor’s handicap and enter the details into the Club’s computer system. This can be done by emailing the Club: mail@rowanygolfclub.com.
Alternatively visitors can contact the Club’s General Manager on 01624 834072 or Email: barry.firth@rowanygolfclub.com
However, the information can also be included with the entry fee in the competition Eentry envelopes or on the score card. The Club’s Competition & Handicap Committee (C&HC) will then arrange to input the visitor’s score the first time the visitor is registered in the Club’s computer system.
The data input is required only once, and ionce r=a visitor is registered the computer system will automatically track any handicap changes in the future. Consequently no further information will normally be required prior to the visitor entering further competitions at Rowany GC.
Where the visitor provides a handicap certificate only, but no CDH number – likely for most visitors from overseas – then the C&HC may require further handicap certificates to be provided by the visitor, depending on the circumstances – e.g. the visitor entering competitions on an irregular basis many weeks or months apart.
