Competition Formats

The following are the main competitions held throughout the year. Most of them are sponsored. Additional club sponsored open competitions are also run, mainly on Sundays.

Monthly Medals

Format: Stroke-play.

Stableford Series – 12 Rounds

Format: Individual Stableford. Best 6 rounds out of a maximum of 12. Juniors not eligible to play in thei competition.

RNLI Stableford

Format: Individual Stableford.

Greenkeepers Benefit Medal

Format: Individual Stroke Play.

Easter Monday Open Stableford

Format: Individual Stableford. Ladies, Men, Juniors.

Jack Oates Stableford

Format: Individual Stableford.

Rowany Trophy

Open to Club members only

Format: Individual stroke-play played over two rounds. Lowest 16 Nett continue to match-play – full handicap differential.

Carrick Cup

Format: Individual Stableford.

Falcon Cup

Open to Club Members only.

Format: Match Play. Full handicap differential.

Syd Driscoll Memorial Cup

Format: Individual Stroke Play.

R Heginbotham Trophy

Format: Individual Stableford.

H P Kelly Cup Open Medal

Format: Individual Stroke Play. Maximum handicap 18.
